The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the ‘Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat’ program, has injected P1 million in financial support to selected Small Business Corporation (SB Corp) loan beneficiaries at Tabuk City, Kalinga.
The initiative is a direct effort to bolster business operations and foster new opportunities for local entrepreneurs, thereby boosting economic growth in the region.
To further reinforce the province's key sectors, the DTI also facilitated two memoranda of agreement with QRS Farm’s Kape-Aralan and CTC Kapi’s Coffee Shop to strengthen the local coffee industry by forging a sustainable value chain and securing market access for its producers.
DTI Regional Operations Group Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona, speaking on behalf of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., stressed that the program is aligned with the administration's core agenda of fostering inclusive economic growth through robust micro, small, medium enterprise (MSME) development.
Lantayona said.
The event also included DTI Diskwento Caravan, which offered affordable goods to the public and featured a strong multi-agency collaboration that brought together various government services, from employment generation and medical missions to education and housing assistance.
Lantayona added.
The program brought together several top government officials, including Governor James Edduba, Congresswoman Caroline Agyao represented by Mr. Reggie Wacas, Brig. Gen. Renante Salvador, and DILG ARD Ruperto Maribbay, to deliver essential government services directly to the residents.
