I had the chance to meet former senator Dick Gordon up close, at Red Cross headquarters on a bloggers conference. kind of person one can rely on especially in times of need. I have seen him gave inspiring talks from back then, he haven’t change a bit and still passionate about what he is for,
The Philippine Red Cross, (PRC) which he chair since 1986, has gone a long way and had helped countless people incidents of calamities
I would have not known that PRC, is not just an emergency and aid giver but a whole lot more. Its major concerns are Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Social Services, Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Services with its fundamental principles – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. it now offers a wider array of humanitarian services ranging from preventive medicine to therapeutic counseling, to youth leadership.
