    I would have not known that PRC, is not just an emergency and aid giver but a whole lot more. Its major concerns are Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Social Services, Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Services with its fundamental principles – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. it now offers a wider array of humanitarian services ranging from preventive medicine to therapeutic counseling, to youth leadership. Sir Dick Gordon enumerated all the programs and services of PRC

Pfizer Strengthens Global Campaign on Bone Health, Calls on Filipinos to ‘Love Your Bone"!

 Our skeletal system comprises of bones, which is the framework of our body. And that I was so happy to have been invited to an on a related topic that tacked on the importance and updates of this, at Holiday Inn, Makati.

It is easy, or seemingly involuntary, to take things for granted when living in today’s fast-paced world. Health is almost secondary, as work is often given high priority. But to keep the body going, one needs food and nutrients for sustenance—the same goes for the need for strong bones to ensure continuous mobility and support.

To help address this growing health problem, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare (PCH)partnered with the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) to spearhead the local celebration of World Osteoporosis Day (WOD) on October 20.

  Aptly themed “Serve up Bone Strength,” WOD 2015 focuses on the importance of adopting a bone-healthy diet throughout a person’s lifetime to optimize bone strength. The campaign highlights the point that poor nutrition is one of the critical risk factors for developing bone-related diseases.

“It conveys the message that the first step in osteoporosis prevention begins in youth, when nutrition can help maximize our bone-building potential, and continues throughout life as we strive to maintain strong bones at older age,” explained IOF, the global organizer of WOD.

Herbalife Health Poll: 9 in 10 Filipinos ”highly concerned” about the potential diseases that an unhealthy lifestyle can cause

MANILA, Philippines - Nine in 10 Filipino consumers surveyed by global nutrition company Herbalife are “highly concerned” about the potential diseases that an unhealthy lifestyle can cause them, with the same number believing that simple lifestyle changes can help improve their overall well-being.
A good number of the respondents expressed willingness to adopt a healthy lifestyle; 79 percent said that they would cut down on unhealthy foods, 78 percent expressed their willingness to exercise more regularly, and 72 percent said they would make better nutrition choices.

A Tour To Remember At Quezon City @75 Diamond Jubilee

  Got me excited after knowing that I'l be joining the QCblogventure, I'vealways been fond of Quezon City,not only that I was born here, at St. Lukes.  I have so many beautiful memories of the place. Like back when I was still a kid, my mom would go to our relative  at New Manila, and that we will get to pass through those big and old mansions along the way, I was just fascinated with its architectural designs.. 

And when I was already in college at PUP Manila, I would  watch films and plays at British council and Goethe at Aurora Blvd.

  It is also here that MowelFund and Big networks are situated. Also the Titus Bradsma, with has been screening internaational and critically acclaimed films since 1994. and also the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is an organization of creative and critical artist-teacher-cultural workers here, founded by Cecile-Guidote Alvarez, in 1967.

  So on the event of our blogventure we got to tour the east side of it, which the University of the Philippines is situated. Agaim memories came back, cause it is here at UP Film where I have seen a lot of award winning artfilms.

It is October and it is National Statistics Month (NSM) once again!

On October 1, 2015, the 26th NSM kicks off at The Heritage Hotel Manila, Pasay City for the Opening Ceremony hosted by the Department of Health (DOH), with Health Secretary Janette-Loreto Garin as keynote speaker. 

Now on its 26th year, the celebration focuses on government’s thrust on universal health care and the recognition of the various endeavors of official statisticians and technical personnel involved in the generation of health and nutrition statistics. Thus, this year’s NSM carries the  theme, "Pagyamanin at Gamitin ang Estadistika, Kalusugan para sa Lahat ay Abot-Kamay Na."

Since its conception in 2002 by Instituto Cervantes, the Spanish Film Festival has been an annual attraction at the Ayala Malls Cinemas, bringing the best of Spanish and Latin American cinema to the local audience of Manila. PELÍCULA-PELIKULA is a combination of the Spanish word “película”, which means film, and its Tagalog derivation “pelikula”, echoing the cultural ties shared by Spain and the Philippines.
