Climate Week: Call for Artists

The Embassy of France to the Philippines, in partnership with the Alumna of AIM Managing the Arts 7, is currently accepting submissions from artists of all disciplines to be a part of a special multi-media exhibition which will aptly coincide with COP21: The Road to Paris Starts in Manila to be held from October 5 to 10, 2015. This will be an important venue to bring to light different issues related to climate change through the artist’s unique perspective.

This call is open to all media.

All accepted artworks will be included in the exhibition to be held at the Archivo1984 Gallery from October 5 to 10, 2015. An artist reception will also take place on October 6, 2015, Tuesday, 6:00pm at the same gallery.

Digital submission requirements

Artists may send up to 3 different images of their works for consideration in JPEG format (72 dpi / standard web resolution) to the following email address: map4climate@gmail.com

Please include the following details:
 Artist name, title, size, medium and date for each piece
 Artist’s statement (3 to 5 sentences) describing the submitted artwork/s
 A short biography in paragraph form, including all contact information, as well as the artist’s website, Facebook page, Instagram account, etc.

Important dates and deadlines

 Digital submission entries: Sunday, September 27, 2015
 Announcement of accepted artworks: Tuesday, September 29, 2015 (artists will be informed through email)
 Submission of artwork to the Archivo1984 Gallery: Wednesday, September 30 to Friday, October 1, 2015 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm ONLY
 Exhibition dates: October 5 to 10, 2015 at the Archivo1984 Gallery
 Artist reception: Tuesday, October 6, 2015, 6:00pm at the Archivo1984 Gallery 2nd level, Warehouse 1, 2135 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City
