Science Film Festival 2015: UN International Year of Light 2015
Throughout his life the German writer and statesman Johann Wolfgang von Goethe had a deep fascination for the physical and metaphorical effects of light on humans. From sunsets to rainbows, from the blues of the sky and the ocean, to the remarkable range of colours of plants and animals, our first experiences of light and colour are through what we see in the natural world.
However, the importance of light reaches far beyond life on Earth. Through major scientific discoveries and technological advancements, light has helped us to see and better understand the universe. 2015 marks an important milestone in the history of physics: one hundred years ago, in November 1915, Albert Einstein wrote down the famous field equations of General Relativity, which showed through a series of experiments centred on the concept of light, how light was at the centre of the very structure of space and time.
All over the globe, people are using light to discover solutions for society’s most pressing problems. From 3-D printing to bringing energy solutions to developing regions, light is key in driving economies and encouraging development in the 21st Century. It has revolutionized medicine, opened up international communication via the Internet, and continues to be central to linking cultural, economic and political aspects of the global society.

A Tour To Remember At Quezon City @75 Diamond Jubilee
Got me excited after knowing that I'l be joining the QCblogventure, I'vealways been fond of Quezon City, not only that I
was born here, at St. Lukes. I have so many beautiful memories of the place. Like back when I
was still a kid, my mom would go to our relative at New Manila, and that we
will get to pass through those big and old mansions along the way, I was just
fascinated with its architectural designs..
And when I was already in college
at PUP Manila, I would watch films and
plays at British council and Goethe at Aurora Blvd.

A PASTA FESTA FOR THE PEOPLE In Celebration of World Pasta Month!
Craving for a bit of Italian? The first thing that comes to mind is a big heaping bowl of pasta, covered with your favorite sauce and sprinkled with lots of Parmesan cheese. It is a dish that everyone loves to eat often, that pasta has become a kitchen pantry staple. Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta brings a taste of Italy to the Filipino home with its line of Italian artisanal pasta noodles, made of 100% durum wheat semolina.
Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is produced according to the tradition of true Italian pasta. There is actually an Italian law prescribing that pasta must be made using 100% durum wheat semolina, which is the hardest of all the wheat varieties and has the highest protein content. It is the use of durum wheat that makes pasta “al dente” or “firm to the bite.” Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is also made using the traditional bronze die, which gives the noodles ridges, thereby helping the sauce cling better to the noodles for a richer flavor. Plus, Doña Elena uses all natural GMO-free ingredients in its pasta, which makes it really good for you!
