The 26th French Film Festival 2023

The ongoing 26th French Film Festival makes it iconic with a selection of the latest box office hits, classic films with icons of French cinema and films with advocacies, now showing at SM MOA and Megamall cinemas until Dec. 3.

Globally known for her roles in Mission Impossible and 8 Women, French iconic actress Emmanuelle Beart is the godmother of the 2023 French Film Festival in Manila. She flew in from France to grace the premiere of the documentary Such a Resounding Silence at SM MOA cinema, in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls. She co-directed the documentary with Anastasia Mikova.

4 – 5 Acrobatic Performers for a Cause. CAMELEON Association, an international non-government organization with local operations that promote children’s rights and advocates for the protection of women and children against violence, brought Cirquera de CAMELEON to perform at the 26th French Film Festival Gala Night to commemorate the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls.

9. To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the 26th French Film Festival opened with a roundtable discussion on the rights and women and girls, and premier of Un Silence Bruyant (Such a Resounding Silence) co-directed by Emmanuelle Beart. Leading the panel discussion were (from left): Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Assistant Secretary for International Affairs, Attached and Supervised Agencies Atty.
