Before I proceed with the usual news and updates on what’s coming, I’d like to take this opportunity to announce firstly our upcoming ANZCHAM 40th Anniversary Charity Ball this coming 20 November 2021. You may have already heard about this through the invitations to donate that we sent last month but I am happy to announce that registration for the event itself is now open! All proceeds from this event will go towards helping #SaferKidsPH, an initiative to help fight online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC). Come join us in this night of fun and fundraising—sign up here now.
A glimpse into the future, now
Whereas July and August shaped up to be people-focused months, September gave us a glimpse of what the future could look like with our events #WhatsNext: Innovation Forum 2021 and the third episode of our HR Series. Our Innovation Forum this year is helping us rethink our purpose and use the power of innovation to build a better future for our businesses, communities, and the planet. At the first two episodes, we held wide-ranging discussions of how innovation is affecting and will affect our world, from robotic automation, to gamification, to cloud-first systems, to digital finance. Special thanks to our speakers from all over the world for engaging our community with conversations on innovation.
We also discussed the evolving regulations and means of transforming our workplaces and work arrangements at the third episode of our HR Series. Our speakers opened our eyes to the changes that we need to adapt to help make our workplaces not only compliant with laws but also compassionate to the needs of our teams. We’re all excited for the last episode, the details of which I’ll share below.
Lastly, we also tackled how leadership should evolve for the needs of the future at our ANZCHAM ALA course Leadership Workouts in partnership with Monash College of Australia. I am proud of the 45 participants who completed the course; I believe that they will be seeds for transformative leadership in their respective organizations from now on.
Stepping into the future, now
We are concluding this October two of our signature series that have really sparked important conversations in our community: Innovation Forum and HR Series. This coming Thursday, 7 October, will be the last (but certainly not the least) episode of #WhatsNext, and will feature innovations on the areas of e-commerce, digital customer experience, and digital tools for businesses. You may register for this event here. And on 21 October, we will hold HR Series Episode 4 titled Nurturing Healthy Employees in a Hybrid Workplace, where we will discuss ways of delivering health and wellness to our teams in the context of hybrid and virtual work. You may register now for this webinar here.
On the other hand, Our ANZCHAM ALA offering this month will help you future-proof yourself and your organization. Through the powers of design thinking, the course Idea Accelerator beginning this 7 October will teach you different ways of dealing with uncertainty through creative solutions.
I look forward to seeing you at our next Monthly Membership Meeting this coming 12 October. I am quite excited as our friends from the Victorian State Government will discuss globalization and its effect on Asian trends in trade, and our friends from Woolworths will introduce us to Australia’s best brands that they have brought to the Philippines through their partnership with Robinsons Supermarkets. Register now for the MMM through this link. Until then, please continue to stay healthy and safe!

Our partner Trends & Concepts is announcing a brand-new logo in celebration of their 30th Anniversary
"We are proud to unveil a brand-new logo for Trends and Concepts as we celebrate our 30th year in the interior fit-out industry in the Philippines. As we see the evolution in our way of thinking and our way of work, our goal was to create a modern and creative look for our brand and at the same time, still emulate our core values of responsibility, reliability and commitment.
This is an important milestone and we sincerely thank our people, our partners, and our clients for your continuous and unwavering support."
