It opened last November 9, 2017 and it will end this Sunday, November 2, 2017 which is open from 11 A.M. for Nov. 9 - 10, 2017 and 10 A.M. for Nov. 11 - 12, 2017. It is held in Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall. This is one of the projects of Congressional Spouses Foundation Incorporated. It aims to gather the best products from various congressional districts and provinces in the Philippines.
It also aims to benefit the families and wives of the soldiers sent and killed in Marawi as well as donate to the current families of Marawi who are trying their best to restore their homes and livelihood in the war-affected place. CSFI holds its annual expo and aims to attract 10,000 buyers/visitors to boost the sales of the exhibitors that showcases the products of various provinces and congressional districts and carry on its projects to its beneficiaries. It will also help the exhibitors sell, market and receive orders for their product for the coming Christmas season where the buyers can buy gift items during the four day expo.
Exhibitors came from all over regions in the Philippines. There also private companies, corporate foundations and NGOs who will showcase various native and homegrown products and recipes.
Buyers looking for unique and locally grown products and food recipes will surely find their gift items for the Christmas season. “Shop for the best products from around the Philippines” – as the event tagline goes, picky shoppers will enjoy the uniqueness of the products and taste in the expo.
“Not only that the buyers will help the chosen beneficiaries but also will boost the sales of the exhibitors who participated in this year’s Kabuhayan Expo project … a big help to augment the income of our people from the countryside,” said Miss Aleta Suarez, Livelihood Committee Chair/ Kabuhayan Expo, CSFI.
Free seminars will be held on Nov. 10-11 at the stage area to boost business coming from various experts and resource persons are also lined up with topics Financial Literacy, DTI Programs to help businesses, FDA programs that protect businesses, DOST program for growing business, Online Promotion, Business and Income Tax, 5P’s in starting a successful business, Marketing the Art of War, Essentials of Entrepreneurship: Business with Integrity.
Awarding for the categories such as Lingap Award (Best Social Product), Pinapangarap Award (Best New Product), Bighani Award (Best in Fashion Accessories), Katakam-Takam Award (Best Food Product). Winners will receive cash prizes and trophies to be awarded on Nov. 12, Sunday.
