Our guest speaker is Jethro Rafael, owner of VAN Gogh is Bi Polar Restaurant along Maginhawa Street, Quezon City. Jethro is this super amazing person who has been bi polar since he was a child…went heavy on medication. Even his brother had been given up as a basket case. In fact the psychiatrists recommended that he be institutionalized. But he disagreed to.
Instead, and armed with hope and belligerent belief that healing will still be at hand one way or another, Jethro found out the healing power of food. And discipline.. And rhythm... He healed himself to the point where he takes NO CHEMICAL medication WHATSOEVER. He has put up his own restaurant where he has distinctly yummy dishes which heal. He also successfully got his own brother on track, and is now running his restaurant! This is a pretty amazing story right? Plus he is now doing social service. A Love for life that reflects likewise his second chance and a new lease on life. When I talk to Jethro - I tell him - my goodness you are not only normal - you are above normal!
