Paint, Sip, Laugh at Sip & Gogh at Makati

  

 I wasn't expecting i could paint, until i attended the Sip & Gogh event at Century Mall, Makati. I asked the artist Sir Noel, who is one of the teacher artist of the place, alot of question about how he took years to learn this craft, that took us only 2 hours to do. My interview with him here: 

He graciously assisted us from start to finish to copy and paint one of Van Gogh, the famous artist's art work, also one of my favorite painter. To my surprise i came up with a good painting, whew! I am just too happy i tried it. I feel refreshed, that kinda feeling like when i was still a kid. Even though things have change now with all the fast pace & busy times were into, we should once in a while take time to stop and get in touch with our inner selves.

Experts laud Philippines for leading Asean as “zone of cooperation & trade”

   Diplomacy and geopolitics experts lauded the Philippines’ leadership of the Asean economic bloc in helping make the region “a zone of cooperation and trade, instead of a region with intractable confrontation and conflicts” at the non-partisan Pandesal Forum of Kamuning Bakery Café in Quezon City. They said the Philippines as leader of Asean, now perceived as a non-aligned and independent nation in geopolitics, can also possibly help diffuse the North Korea crisis with peace and dialogue overtures.

Southeast Asia’s Ecommerce Leader Lazada Smashes Sales Record

Lazada, Southeast Asia’s leading ecommerce company, started its month long Online Revolution Sale by breaking it’s opening weekend record on 11.11. The Single’s Day event generated USD 123 million of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), representing 171% year-over-year growth.

With over 6.5 million items ordered, across Southeast Asia, Lazada proved that the region has the purchasing power and connectivity to take e-commerce mainstream. This is proved by the broad scope of purchased items, from traditionally popular mobile phones, to diapers and women’s accessories. Manicani Island Residents camp out in DENR against Mining

Quezon City - In a bid to stop Hinatuan Mining Corporation's attempt to renew its Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA), and demand from DENR not to allow mining in Manicani Island, around 30 members of the Protect Manicani Island Inc. (PROMISI) formerly Save Manicani Movement (SAMAMO) held a caravan from Manicani Island in Guiuan, Eastern Samar to the Central Office of the DENR, with support from United Manicani Community in Metro Manila, Inc., SANLAKAS, ATM, PMCJ, SENTRO, CEED, LRC, and the Philippine Misereor Partnership Inc. (PMPI).
