“ RIVALRY - ATENEO LA SALLE THE MUSICAL – SECOND ROUND ” SET TO OPEN JANUARY 25!

  The rivalry between Ateneo and La Salle, or between La Salle and Ateneo has been going on as far as everyone can remember. How this all began, no one can really say. In any field of competition, the electricity of this rivalry sizzles, permeates and explodes. This is most evident in every basketball game between the two schools during the NCAA days and now, in the UAAP Tournaments.

This rivalry has spread to include every area of competition.

And now…..a group of very talented, professional stage group will stage a daring musical depicting this glorious rivalry and hopes to hold the audience’s interest throughout the 2-hour show.

This idea germinated in the mind of Ed Gatchalian, who is the show’s Executive Producer, Musical Director/Composer/Arranger/Orchestrator. Ed is also co-writing the book and libretto with seasoned Director Jaime del Mundo.

The 7th Spring Film Festival!

The Spring Festival is one of the most celebrated festivals in the Chinese-Filipino community. For the past six years, the Ateneo de Manila University Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies has brought the joys and artistry of Chinese films to the Philippines through the annual Spring Film Festival.

“MAXIE THE MUSICAL” AUDITIONS SET ON MARCH 9-10

      Bit by Bit Company proudly the audition details of its forthcoming production “ MAXIE The Musical. Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros. ”

Auditions are set on March 9 (Saturday) and 10 (Sunday), 2013 at Studio A of the Peta Theater Center, No. 5 Eymard Drive, New Manila, Quezon City.

Registration starts at 12 noon. Auditions begin at 1 p.m. and will end 8 p.m.

Auditionees are advised that they are expected to sing, dance and act with equal facility.

YOSHINOYA'S Beef Gyudon Eating Madness Now On Its 4th Year!

      Who could resist a challenge such as this, the Beef Gyudon Eating Challenge, i could have easily won and first to finish off that 3 delicious bowls of Yoshinoya's beef goudon, versus  9 other challengers (you bet!), have i not been tempted to savor that rich tasting flavor of beef in every bowl of it. But for me, having joined the contest, is like winning the challenge itself, cause i got to enjoy big time, every spoonful of it..Hurray to Yoshinoya’s  Beef Gyudon Eating Contest, now on its 4th year!

     Yoshinoya’s popular Beef Gyudon Eating Contest is now on its 4th year, and expect more and more beef gyudon lovers to flock to Yoshinoya stores to join in this exciting gastronomic challenge

     Yoshinoya, the country’s most popular fast-food chain that specializes in all-time favorite Japanese culinary fare, first held its beef eating contest last 2008 at its SM Megamall branch, then at the SM Mall of Asia Activity Center the following year.
    This year, the challenge will still be nothing short of exciting, with more participants expected to sign up for the contest.

     Composed of two challenges, the contest is open to all male and female participants 18 years old and above. Qualifying Rounds will be held Monday through Friday at all Yoshinoya stores at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and then at 6 pm and 7 pm from January 21 up to February 15, 2013.

To join, simply pay P199 at the counter, fill out the registration form and sign a health and release waiver. Customer must also present a valid ID (School ID, Company ID, Driver’s License, SSS ID, GSIS ID, NBI Clearance, Postal ID, Voters ID, or Passport) to the store manager.

   For the qualifying round the beef bowls should be consumed in the store. The customer who finishes the most number of bowls or who has the least amount of leftover food in 5 minutes wins the challenge of the day.  The names of the four (4) fastest challengers will be on display at each store’s Leader Board and will be updated every time a new record is set.
     After the weekly qualifying rounds, all qualified participants will be notified via phone call or email and are automatically entered in the grand finals, which will be held on February 23, 2013, 1 pm, at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.

      During the final match, all finalists will compete by eating the most number of bowls in 15 minutes. The top three (3) finalists with the most number of bowls consumed and the least weight left after 15 minutes will be declared winners of the Yoshinoya Beef Gyudon eating challenge.

First place winner will receive P100,000, second placer gets P50,000 while the  third placer takes home P25,000. Non-winners will each be given consolation prizes of P2,000 worth of Yoshinoya gift certificates.
