The DTI Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fairs at the One Ayala, Makati City


DTI Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fair brings festive cheer, supports local enterprises

Parañaque City, Philippines—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched the third edition of the DTI Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fair at the Filipino Village on the 2nd Level of Ayala Malls Manila Bay. Running until December 22, this festive marketplace showcases the remarkable craftsmanship and creativity of Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
 
Visitors can seize the opportunity to shop for unique, locally made holiday gifts while supporting local businesses. This year’s fair features a wide array of handcrafted goods, including fashion accessories, home décor, artisanal crafts, and food products.
 
Aside from providing a platform for MSMEs to showcase their products to wider consumer base, the fair celebrates unique cultural Filipino heritage of the Philippines.

Organized by the DTI-Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and OTOP (BMDPO), the Christmas Village Fair is open daily with free admission.
 
This third edition of the DTI Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fairs follows successful stagings held in Makati City from November 18 to 22 and Mandaluyong City from November 30 to December 4.

Shop All The Way as the World Bazaar Festival 2024 Opens Today!

The opening ceremony, which happened on December 13, 2024, was hosted by TNT Alumna Ana Ramsay. Her energy and extraordinary hosting skills made the opening ceremony very lively for everyone. Mr. Joseph Ang, the founding chairman of WSI, gave his opening speech to officially welcome visitors to the ten long-day festive treats of the World Bazaar Festival. Joining him are Co-founding Chair Ms. Levi Ang, WSI Managing Director Ms. Jill Aithnie Ang, and WSI Financial Director Ms. Michelle Paula Ang-Yu. Gracing the opening ceremony was the Mayor of Pasay City Hon. Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano; the House of Representatives - 2nd District of Laguna Hon. DTI & DA signed a MOA aimed at bolstering the Philippines' Agriculture and Fisheries Exports


Pasay City, Philippines–– The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) have signed a memorandum of agreement aimed at bolstering the Philippines' agriculture and fisheries exports. The agreement was formalized during the National Export Congress in Conrad Manila on December 05.
 
This strategic partnership underscores the government’s commitment to promoting inclusive economic growth by enhancing market access, building capacity, and ensuring regulatory compliance within the export sector.
 
Aligned with the Philippine Development Plan and the Philippine Export Development Plan 2023-2028, the agreement seeks to address key challenges in the agricultural export sector. By tackling issues such as low productivity, value chain inefficiencies, and high production costs, the initiative aims to foster sustainable agricultural growth and elevate the global market position of Philippine products.
 
Furthermore, the agreement outlines several important initiatives, including developing export-oriented training programs to equip agribusiness enterprises, streamlining administrative processes to reduce red tape, and conducting trade fairs and investment missions to promote Philippine products internationally.
 
This joint initiative marks a pivotal step in transforming the Philippine agriculture sector into a dynamic, globally competitive industry, poised to drive economic growth and sustainable development.

Cybersecurity Symposiums Philippines 2024

The Cybersecurity Symposiums Philippines 2024, hosted by Asia Symposiums, brought together leading experts, innovators, and professionals to tackle the critical challenges of cybersecurity. Held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Emerald Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, the event featured insightful discussions, expert talks, and recognition of outstanding achievements in the field.

Themed “Strengthening the Nation’s Digital Resilience,” the symposium highlighted the importance of fostering a collaborative approach to digital security, aligning with the Philippines’ growing need for robust cybersecurity measures amid rising threats.

The day began with a keynote address by Engr. Jose Carlos P. Reyes, Director IV of the Cybersecurity Bureau under the DICT, who shared the National Cybersecurity Plan 2023–2028. Mr. Khairul Azam Ahmad, Business Development Manager at Cysecure, provided actionable insights on managing cybersecurity threats exposure.
These sessions finished with fireside chats, where experts engaged in dynamic discussions, addressing audience questions and sharing actionable strategies to fortify critical sectors and safeguard digital infrastructures.

PH representative Nina Campos Tops EuroPop 2024!

Nina Campos from the Philippines is the first place winner at the Euro Pop Singing Contest 2024. EPC or Euro Pop Contest is an International singing competition for young singers between 10 to 24 years old held annually in Berlin Germany by the non profit organization Music Accuracy and Veranstaltulgen since 2002.

The mission of the competition is to promote talents of the young performers, encourage friendships and bring different cultures together as well as familiarize contestants of various nationalities with the German culture and art and enable them to demonstrate their own. The participants can show their vocal skills to big audience and professional judges. Contestants selected for the international final have high quality of vocal performance and experience of performing on stage. Until 2009 this competition was called only "Berliner Perle" (Berlin Pearl). Since 2009 it has been renamed into a name, that is understandable to all nationalities Euro Pop Contest Grand-Prix "Berliner Perle" (in 2009, the contest was attended by contestants from 21 countries). All participants compete for the title of the absolute winner of competition, that is, the Grand Prix and receives a special cup "Berliner Perle".

Nina Campos mentors include Mamaclay who is the National Director and head mentor for Euro Talent Festival as well as top 5 winner of  XFactor Malta; While Jex  de Castro a grand prix winner in London last 2023, Nina Campos was brought to the competion of EPC or Euro Pop Contest by Vega Entertainment Productions and Euro talent Festival spearheaded by International Director Charie Vega.
