Ready for a this year's pelíkula?


Since its conception in 2002 by Instituto Cervantes de Manila, the Film Festival Película has grown through the years to become the most important showcase of Spanish Cinema in the Southeast Asian region. Pelikula starts its new edition with a collection of good quality movies, many of which have been rewarded in prestigious festivals. Comedy, drama, thriller, animation, documentary, short film… Finally, to cap off our line-up are the midnight screenings, always a must-see in every edition of PELÍCULA.

Pelikula Film Festival will run from Oct 9 to 19 in Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, Makati.

FutureYou.ph Introduces Students To The Right Career Opportunities And A Lot More


    Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) launched FutureYou.ph, an online career exploration portal that aims to address the lack of information on the right job opportunities for Filipino students and graduates.


    The Philippines currently has the highest unemployment rate in Southeast Asia.

The country has an average of 2.8 million people who have been unemployed for the past 2 years. Majority of those are in the 15-24 age group followed by those aged 24-30, composing 48% and 30% of the unemployed in the country, respectively.
Of the total unemployed, 44% have either graduated or reached high school, and 34% have reached or graduated from college.

     Ocean Park Hong Kong today unveiled its upcoming seasonal attraction for this year’s all-day-and-night Ocean Park Halloween Fest. The management team of Ocean Park Hong Kong were in town to personally share exciting details on the Park’s much-awaited annual Halloween celebration, and express appreciation to its Filipino guests for their continued support, as shown by the 10% year-on-year increase in attendance by Filipino guests in 2013-2014. Karylle Is The First Celebrity Endorser of Status Salon


These days, Karylle dabbles into almost everything – singing, hosting, acting, writing, musical theater, songwriting.

She is seen on TV almost everyday hosting the ABS-CBN noontime show “It’s Showtime.” She is also currently promoting her newest album “K,” under PolyEast Records.

She also makes sure that she performs onstage every now and then, Just last weekend, Karylle was one of the performers of the 45th anniversary show of the Cultural Center of the Phillippines “Musikal,” a historic coming together of more than 200 local theater performers in the country. She reprised her Sita role from last year’s “Rama Hari” revival.

With everything that keeps Karylle busy, the singer-actress-TV host is thankful that STATUS Salon has chosen her to be their first celebrity endorser.

“I really am grateful to STATUS that they gave me their full trust and confidence to be their first celebrity endorser,” says Karylle. “It feels great that I was warmly welcomed by everyone, and I now have STATUS to take care of my hair.”
