The Philippine pop industry is no doubt for its capability to rise despite the global pandemic and the struggles to shine in the midst of the challenges faced by the entertainment and local music scene. We can see it right from our very eyes how we stand again and bounce back with the current happenings from jam-packed concerts and convention, topping hits on music charts and radio airwaves, left and right online programs and TV shows featuring PPOP artists and noticeable product endorsements and commercials plus a huge domination in the social media platforms with the surprising trends of the growing PPOP community.
Following the spark started by the advocate and founder of PPOP Awards in 2016, Jhon Mark “Yuan” Quiblat who was an awardee for Dangal ng Lahi for Most Exceptional Filipino Advocate for Culture and Arts stood up by his belief in the talents of the Filipino young artists that needed to be recognized and acknowledge the artist’s contribution in the evolvement of the Philippine pop culture. An awarding platform was then given way to the young artists and their talent management to pay off with the hard work to produce and develop world class artists that excel in fields of music and performing arts.
This year 2022 makes PPOP rise to its benchmark expectations and now fully grown with numerous groups launched and debuted from the different talent managements and entertainment agencies that marks a footprint to the exciting journey of PPOP stardom making proud of the best of the Philippine pop artists of this generation.
