2014 Philippine Heritage Wikimedia Volunteer Program

Wikimedia Philippines is all set to roll-out a nationwide volunteer Cultural Heritage mapping project. This project is an offshoot of Wiki Loves Monuments Philippines. Kindly fill-out this form if you are interested to take part and be considered for the project.

A group of experts, researchers and authorities will be teaming up with a non-profit organization to launch a nationwide heritage documentation project by early 2014.  The project aims to assist the efforts and initiatives of the local and national government, and the private sector, in protecting and safeguarding built heritage structures, monuments and sites in the Philippines, through a continuous and sustained heritage documentation and research program. A series of training and workshops will be done across Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and Metro Manila throughout the year. The work of this project will be made publicly accessible by everyone through the Wikimedia platform and Creative Commons. The program will span from February 2014 to January 2015.
We are now calling for volunteers who want to participate in this program.  Selected applicants will undergo an extensive and immersive volunteer training and scholarship program (with allowances) funded by the project.  Interested parties may fill out and submit this application form on or before January 15, 2014.
