An article from a senior correspondent, Lorna Tan, which got published in Singapore, bearing the title: “Options trading: a better bet than stocks?” had the final message and sentiment “Options trading is safer than buying stocks.” Meaning it carries less risk.
She clarifies a huge difference between options trading and stocks trading. Options Trading is not like day-trading --- no monitoring is required --- you don’t need to glue yourself in front of a computer reading charts. Yes, options trading is day-time and short-term, but it’s “hands-off”, not “hands-on”.
