Our theme this year is Ramping Up Towards Philippines 2040. This year’s theme is based on the long-term vision launched by the National Economic and Development Authority in March 2016 which highlights the aspirations and dreams of Filipinos for a better life.
This meeting will bring together foremost economists in the country, both from the private and public sector, to present and discuss their analyses of the economic issues and problem of the day. It will be attended by 500 attendees from the academe, practitioners of economics, and allied sciences, and professionals and officials from both the private sector and government.
A plenary session on the Economic and Financial Literacy Law will likewise be organized. The afternoon program will feature parallel sessions tackling various development concerns such as economic and financial literacy; education, health and human capital formation; technology and infrastructure; energy economics and policy; institutional economics, law and order; fiscal management, economic governance and bureaucratic reforms; among others.
