4th Asia Pacific Real Estate Investment Summit

The ASEAN integration’s impact on the local real estate industry, the market’s 2016 outlook, and the government’s public–private partnership projects—these are just some of the key topics to be discussed in the upcoming 4th Asia Pacific Real Estate Investment Summit (APREIS), to be held at Solaire Resort & Casino on October 22.

The summit will gather in one venue some 300 professionals from leading property developers, funds and asset managers, and investors for a day of networking to interact and share their views on various issues affecting the industry—with the goal of promoting and strengthening the Philippine real estate sector.

Asia Sports Industry Awards and Conference 2015

The Asia Sports Industry Awards and Conference have been created to recognize and celebrate the business leaders, organizations, facilities and campaigns at the forefront of the sporting industry, that have made a contribution to the growth and development of sport across South East Asia in the past eighteen months.

The vision and core strategies for the sporting landscape in South East Asia, as implemented by supporting federal and national bodies, have ensured the region remains ahead of the game, constantly setting new standards that have become the envy of the international sporting arena. It's now time to showcase these incredible achievements.

The inaugural Asia edition of the Sports Industry Awards, organized in partnership by MMC Sportz and Sport360, will be hosted on Friday 2 October 2015 in Manila, Philippines in view of expansion into the wider Asian regions and host cities in subsequent years.

This statement is in reaction to the article posted on September 22, 2015 by one Kristian Kabuay entitled “Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines steals Baybayin logo”, in the website and other similar posts and blog comments.

The IPOPHL logo was designed by the Design Center of the Philippines (DCP) in consultation with IPOPHL officials sometime in August 2011 pursuant to a Memorandum Of Understanding dated July 2011.

The concepts of creativity, innovation, colors, and various facets of IP, served as guidance for the logo design.

The IPOPHL logo was launched in October 2011 and has been in continuous use to date.

Climate Week: Call for Artists

The Embassy of France to the Philippines, in partnership with the Alumna of AIM Managing the Arts 7, is currently accepting submissions from artists of all disciplines to be a part of a special multi-media exhibition which will aptly coincide with COP21: The Road to Paris Starts in Manila to be held from October 5 to 10, 2015. This will be an important venue to bring to light different issues related to climate change through the artist’s unique perspective.
This call is open to all media.
All accepted artworks will be included in the exhibition to be held at the Archivo1984 Gallery from October 5 to 10, 2015. An artist reception will also take place on October 6, 2015, Tuesday, 6:00pm at the same gallery.

Digital submission requirements

Artists may send up to 3 different images of their works for consideration in JPEG format (72 dpi / standard web resolution) to the following email address:
Please include the following details:
- Artist name, title, size, medium and date for each piece
- Artist’s statement (3 to 5 sentences) describing the submitted artwork/s
- A short biography in paragraph form, including all contact information, as well as the artist’s website, Facebook page, Instagram account, etc.

Dont Miss This Year's Work at Home Expo 2015 ! and the WAHMderful Life Community invites you to The Work at Home Expo 2015! The WAH Expo is an annual one-day expo of talks and mini- workshops geared towards the encouragement and empowerment of Filipinos who are working from home or would like to be work from home professionals. This event are for people who are currently working from home as entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, freelancers, and for those who are planning to work from home in the near future. This event will provide attendees knowledge and tips about working from home. It will also be a great event where people can network and meet other people that they can collaborate or work with or for in the future.

Our very first workshop in 2012 resulted in a sold-out event, with over forty work at home professionals and freelancers in attendance, all of whom benefited from a wealth of insights and knowledge from authentic and experienced work from home professionals. We have since held 12 subsequent workshops, and two annual expos, all in-line with “helping individuals find their bliss working from home while making a home.” The Work at Home Expo last year had around 290 participants with almost 50 booths from different players in the industry and from the small business owners, as well.

The 5th Asia Pacific Housing Forum To Tackle Poverty Housing Asia-Pacific Region

The Asia-Pacific Housing Forum is a biennial conference organized by Habitat for Humanity. In 2015, the Housing Forum’s fifth iteration. The forum will bring together all actors engaged in seeking solutions to low-income housing issues that make business and economic sense.

Hong Kong, 2 September 2015 – As the world’s booming population continues to migrate into overcrowded cities, more than 1,000 experts from across the Asia-Pacific region have gathered to address the issue of poverty housing. Meeting for the first time in multiple locations simultaneously, the 5th Asia-Pacific Housing Forum started today with the main event in Hong Kong and satellite events in Delhi, India, and Manila, Philippines.

Global Travel Experts at 14th Philippine Travel Exchange - MICE Conference 2015

  Participants of the 14th Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) are in for a very insightful season as travel experts and business leaders grace and share the latest studies and trends, as well as business, sales and marketing strategies in the travel and tourism industry. Organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), PHITEX 2015 will be held on 01-03 September, 2015 at the Manila Marriott Hotel.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) June 2015 Report provides that an estimated visitor receipts of PhP 17.14 billion was recorded and visitor arrivals reached 390,486 visitors. This reflects an increase of 4.89 percent compared to last year’s arrivals on the same period.
