Celebration Is Fun With Ideal Gourmet Pasta And More!


    We Pinoys, like to celebrate alot, we have fiestas, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. We are always thankful for so many things that we like to celebrate them!
   And on occasion of our celebrations, we love to have spaghetti, pansit  and salads as our main dish to share.And with the New year fast approaching  Ideal products would be an ideal choice to have for your pasta and salad needs, because of its taste, value and price.

PASTA TWIST WITH CAULIFLOWER
Ingredients:    1                            Cauliflower
                     2                            Cups milk
                     1                            Bay leaf
                     ¼ cup                    Butter
                     ½ cup                    All-purpose flour
                     ¾ cup                    Freshly grated Parmesan or Cheddar cheese
                     400 grams              IDEAL GOURMET TWIST, un-cooked
                                                   Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Procedures:
1.  Bring a large pan of water to  a boil.  Wash cauliflower and separate into florets. Boil until tender, about 8-10 minutes.  Remove from pan with a slotted spoon.  Chop cauliflower into bite-size pieces and set aside.  Do not discard the cooking water in the pan.
2.  Make a béchamel sauce by gently heating milk with bay leaf in a small saucepan.  Do not let it boil.  Melt butter in a medium heavy-bottomed pan.  Add flour, mix well with a wire whisk making sure there are no lumps.  Cook for 2-3 minutes.  Do not let  butter burn.
3.  Strain hot milk into flour and butter mixture all at once, and mix smoothly with wire whisk.
4.  Bring sauce to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 4-5 minutes more.  Season to taste.  Add cheese, and stir over low heat until melted.  Stir in cauliflower.  Keep warm.
5.  Bring cauliflower cooking water to a boil.  Add salt, IDEAL GOURMET TWIST and cook until al dente.  Drain, put in serving dish.  Add sauce, mix well and serve.
Helpful Pasta Tips: 
Thin spaghetti suits seafood sauces, thicker spaghetti is good with creamy sauces (like Carbonara), and thick tubular pasta like Penne and Twist suits rustic sauces full of bits that will be caught in the pasta itself.
FETTUCINE WITH HAM AND CREAM
Ingredients :

               1 cup                    Unsmoked Ham
               ¼ cup                    Butter
               2 bulbs                 Shallots, finely chopped
               2/3 cup                All-purpose Cream
               200 grams           Ideal Gourmet Fettucine, uncooked
               ½ cup                    Parmesan cheese
                                             Salt and ground black pepper to taste
                                             Fresh parsley sprig, to garnish

Procedures:
1.  Cut the fat from the ham and chop both lean and fat parts separately into small squares.
2.  Melt the butter in a medium frying pan and add the shallots and the squares of ham fat.  Cook until golden.  Add the lean ham, and cook for 2 minutes more.  Season with black pepper.  Stir in the cream, and keep warm over low heat while the pasta is cooking.
3.  Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente.  Drain, put into serving dish and toss with the sauce.  Stir in the cheese and serve immediately, garnish with a sprig of parsley.
